Canadian MP Branden Leslie has asked the federal government to explain what it has done with the Chief Science Advisor's Sky Canada recommendations. Written question Q-1526, filed October 6, seeks the action taken on each recommendation, whether it was accepted or rejected, implementation timelines and the entity responsible. The Commons register still listed the question as awaiting a response on October 10, with a November 23 deadline.
Leslie also asks whether National Defence, Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada, 3 Canadian Space Division, 7 Wing (Space), Transport Canada or the Privy Council Office received UAP briefings or reports during 2026. If so, he wants the dates and details. The question itself does not establish that any such briefing occurred or that the government has adopted the recommendations.
Sky Canada's June 2025 report focused on gaps in public reporting and coordination, including a proposed lead agency and dedicated reporting service. The new parliamentary question puts implementation, rather than a new sighting, under scrutiny. Neither the report's administrative recommendations nor the unanswered inquiry constitutes evidence of extraterrestrial technology.
