British Labour MP Clive Lewis said in a conversation published by the Sol Foundation that he believed the Ministry of Defence had misled him over the United Kingdom's cooperation with Five Eyes partners on UAP. Liberation Times reported the exchange on August 29 after comparing his comments with parliamentary answers and released allied records.
In a written answer dated September 4, 2025, the ministry said it had not participated in international groupings specifically focused on UAP since May 2023. When Lewis later asked whether cooperation with the Five Eyes UAP Caucus was ongoing, a second answer referred him back to that statement instead of giving a direct yes or no.
The documentary record establishes a narrower point. British officials were included in preparations for a Five Eyes briefing in 2021, and an official Pentagon agenda lists the United Kingdom at the inaugural Five Eyes UAP Caucus Working Group on May 24, 2023. The ministry later confirmed that two Defence Intelligence Secretariat officials attended that meeting.
Those records do not prove that Britain joined every later Five Eyes discussion, and the ministry's wording specifically concerns the period after May 2023. Lewis framed his complaint as an accountability issue rather than proof of non-human technology. The unresolved question is whether Parliament received a sufficiently clear account of later cooperation.
