Two elongated heat signatures drift over Denver in thermal video

A four-minute thermal recording published August 26 shows two flexible-looking heat signatures moving slowly over southwest Denver; the object's identity and the recording time remain unresolved.

What the video shows

The monochrome infrared view follows two narrow, irregular bright forms. Their outlines bend as they drift and occasionally overlap. No horizon, scale, visible-light view or abrupt acceleration is resolved, and the clip has no audio.

Witness description

The submission says the objects were recorded above Westwood while the camera faced southwest and were visible for about four minutes. The uploader shared the footage on behalf of Ryan rather than claiming to be the camera operator.

Source and provenance

The archive supplies a complete H.264 MP4 attributed to an AGM ReachIR thermal monocular and links the Reddit submission. The file is an edited or re-encoded export rather than untouched device media. Its on-screen clock reads about 9:53 p.m., while the form lists noon, a conflict the public record does not reconcile.

Evidence notes

Thermal contrast confirms only that the camera registered temperature or emissivity differences. With no range, visible-light comparison, independent witness, raw sensor file or fixed reference, apparent shape changes cannot be separated from focus, pixel interpolation and overlapping ordinary objects.

Possible explanations

Birds, balloons, paragliders or other warm airborne objects remain plausible. Low thermal resolution can merge wings, suspension lines or multiple targets into flexible shapes. The video does not provide enough geometry to choose among these explanations.
