Dunkirk daylight video shows a bright object beside a contrail
An original Reddit video posted July 11 was described as having been filmed at 7:09 a.m. on July 8 in Dunkirk, where the recorder noticed a bright moving object while at work.
What the video shows
The 22.4-second vertical phone video opens above rooftops under a clear blue sky with a long diagonal contrail. The camera zooms and pans toward a small saturated white object beside the trail. The object remains a bright unresolved blob; no wings, structure, sudden acceleration or sharp turn can be confirmed from the available frames.
Witness description
The poster said the object was seen on Wednesday morning while at work and was shown to coworkers. The public post gives Dunkirk, France, and 7:09 a.m. on July 8 as the place and time. It does not name the recorder or coworkers, state how long the object was visible before or after the clip, or provide direction, weather observations or flight-tracking data.

Evidence notes
The traceable original post, explicit time and city, continuous clip and visible rooftops provide useful context. Limits include the lack of original camera metadata, independent named witnesses, a stable horizon during the zoom and any comparison with air traffic. Handheld panning and digital enlargement make apparent motion and shape difficult to assess.
Possible explanations
A sunlit aircraft, an aircraft crossing near an older contrail, a high-altitude balloon or camera saturation around a small reflective target are plausible explanations. The contrail shows active high-altitude traffic in the scene but does not establish that the bright object produced it. The video alone does not support an extraordinary conclusion.
