FBI UAP video: Northeastern Orb Sighting, 2025
FBI-UAP-PR004 documents a 2025 northeastern U.S. report in which two witnesses described red spherical lights low over a backyard.
What the video shows
The released video shows a reddish light in a dark outdoor setting. The official description says the first witness noticed an intense light while parking after work, then recorded the object after seeing it hover about 25 feet above the ground and roughly 90 feet away.
Witness description
The witness's spouse also saw the object and described it as a brilliant red sphere about one meter wide, with a white plasma-like center about the size of a basketball. The witnesses said a second identical orb appeared, that the lights moved smoothly westward together, and that they seemed to merge before leaving view.
Source and provenance
DVIDS published the clip as FBI-UAP-PR004 on June 12, 2026. The release says the account was provided to the FBI, that the witnesses were assessed as credible, and that the sighting occurred within 25 miles of other northeastern reports in the same release set.
Evidence notes
The case has unusually specific public witness details, an official source channel, approximate height and distance, and a visible video record. It does not include the exact state, raw phone file, metadata, independent triangulation or a technical identification.
Possible explanations
A drone or small illuminated device, a balloon or other airborne object carrying a light, exposure behavior or another conventional light source cannot be ruled out. The low altitude and backyard context are notable but not conclusive.
