DVIDS / FBI PURSUE release
FBI UAP video: Red Orb Rotation, 2022
A DVIDS release labeled FBI-UAP-PR002 shows two bright red light sources reported in the northeastern United States in March 2022.
What the video shows
The video shows two red luminous sources near the horizon. The lower light appears to rotate relative to the upper light, moving from an apparent six o'clock position to slightly beyond nine o'clock while both sources remain generally stationary.
Witness description
The witness reported seeing the lights at about 1920 local time from a sparsely populated location familiar to them, estimated the distance at about 2,500 feet and did not hear any sound. The video was recorded with an iPhone 12 Pro.
Source and provenance
The footage is published as FBI-UAP-PR002 by DVIDS. The release says the description comes from a witness statement given to the FBI, and that the FBI assessed the reporter as highly credible.
Evidence notes
The record preserves specific witness details, a public government release channel and a visible video. Its limits are also clear: the public file does not include the exact location, original phone metadata, independent sensor data or a final identification.
Possible explanations
Drones, distant lights, camera movement, exposure effects or other conventional sources remain possible. The absence of sound and the red color are useful details, but they do not by themselves determine what the objects were.
Verification notes
The item is published as a documented official-source sighting lead, with important evidence limits preserved.
