White object filmed moving over Highland Springs, Virginia
A 28-second phone video posted on August 5 shows a small white target crossing a clear sky near Highland Springs; a route reconstruction shared in the source discussion points to a high-altitude aircraft.
What the video shows
The 28-second vertical video shows a small, bright horizontal mark against a blue sky. The camera pans and shakes while keeping the target near the center. The object follows a smooth path with no visible turn, hover, acceleration or shape change. At this resolution there is no reliable view of wings, a fuselage, lights or a contrail, and the flat white profile can be produced by glare and compression.
Witness description
The reporter said the object was observed at about 20:00 EDT on July 23 from Highland Springs, moving southeast for roughly one minute. It appeared white, cigar-shaped and silent, with no visible wings or lights. At the likely distance, aircraft noise and structural detail may not have been perceptible during the short observation.

Possible explanations
A distant aircraft is the leading explanation. A source-discussion reconstruction using the reported date, time, location and southeast direction identified an aircraft track at about 35,000 feet and roughly 16 miles away. That analysis has not been independently reproduced here, but it fits the smooth motion, small angular size and lack of audible sound better than an extraordinary craft.
