Multiple lights filmed over Marilia, Brazil, on July 9

A self-published video from Marilia shows several bright points appearing at different positions in a night sky while two observers discuss their movement and compare them with a stationary star.

What the video shows

The 2 minute 35 second clip shows a dark sky with bright points appearing, fading and reappearing. The observers count several lights and use a fixed star as a visual reference, but the frame contains little horizon detail and does not establish distance, altitude or speed.

Witness description

The Portuguese conversation indicates that at least two people were watching. They describe two, three and possibly four lights, say some appeared reddish, and comment that one point seemed to move while a star remained fixed. The uploader provides no fuller written statement.

Source and provenance

The YouTube account reinaldo galo uploaded the clip on July 10 with a title stating that it was filmed in Marilia, Sao Paulo, on July 9, 2026. The local thumbnail comes from that upload, and the page embeds the original video rather than presenting only a screenshot.

Evidence notes

The upload has a stated city, date, continuous clip and audible observers, but it is self-published and has no original-file metadata, exact viewpoint, compass direction, weather check, flight log or independent corroboration. Its evidentiary confidence is therefore low.

Possible explanations

Aircraft seen at different headings, drones, satellites, flare activity, atmospheric scintillation, camera exposure and focus changes, or separate ordinary lights could produce parts of the sequence. The video alone does not distinguish among them.

Verification notes

Published as a low-confidence original video lead with a playable embed; no extraordinary origin is inferred.
