Green flashing light tracked over São Paulo
A São Paulo witness recorded a flashing green light on July 15 and deliberately widened the frame to compare it with aircraft using nearby Guarulhos Airport.
What the video shows
The 103.8-second vertical video follows a bright point that alternates between green-white flashes and darker intervals over an urban skyline. Buildings, tower beacons and other moving lights provide context. Around 59 seconds the camera widens to include a commercial aircraft, and another aircraft appears later. The target remains unresolved and shows no clear high-speed departure or abrupt turn.
Witness description
The original poster reported filming at 9:10 p.m. on July 15, 2026 in São Paulo. The witness said the green light looked different from the commercial aircraft and intentionally showed aircraft arriving at or departing from GRU Airport for comparison. The poster also volunteered that the object was possibly a drone and made no extraterrestrial claim.

The first-person Reddit post 1uxnfpt was published July 16, 2026 at 00:26:54 UTC. Its hosted video carries media ID 7lnswcahkhdh1. The 1080-by-1920 H.264 rendition was downloaded from the original media stream, stored locally and fully decoded after a clean full-file transfer. The thumbnail is a source-video frame crop.
Evidence notes
The long continuous clip, skyline references and deliberate aircraft comparison are useful. However, no raw metadata, precise camera location, compass bearing or flight-track export is available. The light's range and size cannot be recovered from a point source, and blinking plus apparent slow travel are characteristics common to human-made aircraft.
Possible explanations
A consumer or commercial drone is the leading explanation because the witness's own account allows it and the light blinks in a regular, navigation-like pattern. A more distant conventional aircraft viewed at an unfavorable angle also remains possible. The comparison aircraft look different, but differences in range, heading, focus and exposure can change the appearance of point lights.
