Szczecin night-light video includes a possible satellite explanation
A witness reported a slow light over Szczecin on October 14. The complete Reddit clip is preserved with its Starlink context and optical limitations, without treating an oval blur as a resolved craft.

What the video shows
The vertical recording shows a small pale light against a dark sky, with trees and part of a building providing foreground context. The target becomes a soft oval or ring-like patch as focus and framing change. The camera follows it; the clip does not resolve a solid outline, structure or propulsion.
Witness description
u/noname_lastname0 reported observing eastward in Szczecin, Poland, at 19:45 CEST on October 14 for about 45 seconds. The witness described slow movement and possible descent, and was unsure about an apparent smoky halo. They reported checking aircraft and satellite apps without a match. These are the submitter's statements, not independently measured flight characteristics.
Source and provenance
Reddit post 1x6hvdo was published October 15 at 10:15:02Z by ufosightingsbot for u/noname_lastname0 and links to archive record 13130. This page preserves the complete 37.7-second Reddit-published H.264/AAC version, media ID wbj84th8wlvh1, not a camera-original file. The author also linked an enhanced YouTube version, EzThZS19yXI; that is not the video used here. Withheld camera metadata is not republished. The thumbnail is a frame at 12 seconds.
Evidence notes
The report's sky-context tool lists five Starlink satellites near 17:30 UTC, roughly 15 minutes before the stated sighting. That is relevant context, not a demonstrated track match. A negative app search cannot exclude all aircraft or satellites. The 37.7-second clip is shorter than the reported 45-second observation; no calibrated distance, angular track or independent sensor record is supplied.
Possible explanations
A satellite, distant aircraft or lantern remains possible. Defocus and handheld tracking can enlarge a point of light into an apparent oval or halo. The video does not establish a physical shell, extraordinary acceleration or non-human origin, and the nearby Starlink prediction alone cannot identify this target.
Verification notes
Credibility C: attributed witness video and traceable publication, but no independent identification. Ordinary optical and satellite explanations remain open; the oval appearance is not evidence of a resolved craft.
