A one-minute infrared recording shows a loose formation of bright points moving across the sky. Migrating birds are a strong conventional explanation.

What the video shows
The monochrome view follows multiple bright points whose spacing changes as they glide through the frame. The group bends into a rough chevron but individual points do not maintain a rigid geometry.
Witness description
The reporter said the formation was visible through infrared binoculars but not to the naked eye near Denver on September 12. No independent observer, radar record or synchronized second camera was supplied.

The complete 60-second source MP4 was downloaded from report 12976. Its metadata records a 4K HEVC file and a capture timestamp that does not cleanly match the stated local time; the local copy is a full-duration H.264/AAC transcode.
Evidence notes
The recording is genuine source-linked footage, but infrared brightness does not establish object size or distance. Changing spacing and wing-like fluctuations argue against a single rigid craft.
Possible explanations
A flock of birds warmed by the environment and seen in infrared best fits the loose, changing formation. Insects closer to the sensor are less likely but cannot be excluded without range data.
