GoFast UAP video
GoFast is a January 2015 U.S. Navy infrared video whose apparent near-surface high speed became a central UAP claim; AARO's 2025 analysis assessed with high confidence that the object showed no anomalous performance.

A Navy F/A-18F crew recorded the object with a FLIR sensor in January 2015. The clip circulated publicly in 2017 and the Department of Defense authorized its release in 2020. AARO later reconstructed the geometry from the sensor display and publicly reported that the target was around 13,000 feet rather than just above the ocean, with apparent speed amplified by parallax.
GoFast is an unusually useful resolved-performance case: the object remains unidentified, while the dramatic performance claim can still be tested and substantially reduced.

Evidence assessment
The original evidentiary strength is a genuine military sensor recording with readable display data. AARO's methodology also states its limits: exact aircraft track coordinates and atmospheric conditions were not supplied, so the analysis bounded possible speeds rather than identifying the object. The result constrains performance more strongly than identity.
Official context
The Defense Department confirmed and released the Navy video. AARO's resolution says it cannot definitively identify the object but has high confidence that it did not move at anomalous speed and did not move against the wind in the modeled conditions.
Skeptical notes
Motion parallax is the central explanation for the impression of a small object racing just above the water. A wind-borne object remains compatible with the bounded speed and heading, although the public analysis does not name a final object type.
